Humanities and Social Sciences
Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Kabianga.
Aided by knowledge acquired from BA in Public Administration, Human Rights, History, Religion, and Geography; the studies in Humanities and Social Sciences assist students and graduates first and foremost to develop skills and unique abilities to make right judgments effectively.
Secondly, the studies help the students in thinking critically about their world and actions.
Thirdly, these studies assist learners in solving problems about the society, peoples & their environment. Fourth, through the disciplines learnt, students and products are prepared to make quality decisions about the state(s) and their subjects through better policies and their actions. Finally, the courses ultimate goal enhances adaptation to change at individual, community, state, and international levels for a better world.
Among our Student Clients are Educators in Geography, History, and Religion who are absorbed by TSC and other interested organizations in sharing knowledge. We have an MA Course in Religion and we are currently in the process of developing a Master’s Programme in Diplomacy and International Relations among other BA courses for our prospective clients. This is to offer hitherto farfetched learning programmes closer to our environment of operation. Apart from these categories, we have our two active departmentally domiciled courses Public Administration and Human Rights.
